Bruce Mebine, OD, grew up in San Francisco in the Sunset District. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. He took the practice over from his father, Loran Mebine, OD in 1969.
He has been a clinical professor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry since 1983. |
He has served as president for the San Francisco Optometric Society, the Bay Area Optometric Council and the California Optometric Association. He has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Vision Service Plan.
He was named Optometrist of the Year in 1991 by the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and Optometrist of the Year in 1998 by the California Optometric Association.
In his spare time he enjoys his five grandchildren, fencing, photography, and sailing.

Ghazal Naseri, OD, FAAO
Dr. Naseri, OD earned her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of British Columbia before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. She remained at UC Berkeley to complete a residency in Primary Care and Contact Lenses, where she received advanced training in the management of anterior segment disease and specialty contact lens fitting for patients with irregular corneas and ocular surface disease.
Dr. Naseri, OD previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry at UC Berkeley. She currently practices at L. Bruce Mebine, OD & Associates in the West Portal neighborhood of San Francisco.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Naseri, OD enjoys traveling, hiking, learning about different cultures and languages, and spending time with family and friends.

Angela - Optician
Angela is our full time optician and assistant frame buyer. As a buyer she likes to keep up to date with all new eye wear styles for our patients. Angela also helps patients during their initial contact lens fitting by training them on insertion and removal and care of contact lenses.
Rosie - Front Desk Receptionist
Rosie has been part of our administrative department for over 13 years and is very familiar with the industry.
